Bisket Jatra represents the solar New year and its the only festival that does not follow lunar Calender in Nepal. This festival happens in-front of Bhairav temple in Taumadi Tole, Bhaktapur. Its also celebrated in-front of Natapola temple which is the tallest temple of Nepal.

Bhairav and Bhadrakali are then placed in large chariots (locally known as Rath) and pulled by the crowds. This festival is celebrated form Malla Dynasty Era. This festival is celebrated up-to a weeks, This festival begins by pulling the chariots by thousands of people form 25th of Chaitra month of Nepali calendar.

Bhairav Temple Behind the Chariot.
This Chariot is pulled by both side front and back, its the game like tug of war between the Eastern side of people to the western side of people. At-last this chariot is lead towards the Lesinkhel, where a tall wooden decorated log called as Linga is placed. This linga is pulled vertically straight at the end of the year or last day of the year and again dropped down on the first day on New year.
